Business Development Intern
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Intern to join our dynamic team at SANMIT. As a Business Development Intern, you will play a crucial role in generating leads, building relationships with potential clients, and closing sales opportunities globally in the domain of Digital Transformation and Strategy & Advisory. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Digital Transformation and IT Strategy & Advisory functions and contribute to the efficiency and success of our sales team.
This is a paid internship lasting twelve (12) weeks.
Who you are
You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You must be currently enrolled in a university or have recently graduated.
You’re comfortable with composing emails, implementing targeting strategies, and continuously iterating on strategies to improve the sales pipeline.
You’re motivated to consistently meet and exceed your performance targets (e.g., conversion rates, engagement levels, and sales targets).
You’re organised and have strong attention to detail.
You’re comfortable with ambiguity, are a self-starter, and are a quick learner who can multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment.
You’re optimistic, enthusiastic and willing to go above and beyond to develop new business opportunities.
You can think critically and outside the box to find ways to maximise revenue targets.
You’re humble and receptive to constructive feedback.
What the job involves
Working closely with the sales leadership team to manage the sales pipeline.
Conducting market research to identify potential clients and sales opportunities.
Assisting with lead-generation activities such as outbound emailing, LinkedIn and other social media outreach with the aim of setting up qualifying customer calls. You’ll have daily and weekly activity targets.
Maintaining daily activity and prospect information including comprehensive and up-to-date client information.
Honing your sales skills by reading, researching, and listening to sales podcasts.
Opportunities to assist with content creation, marketing and other high-impact work.
